The team behind myCloud, Pearson's groundbreaking communications and productivity suite, has just won a major innovation award at the annual Ovum Industry Congress in London.
Pearson Technology's chief technology officer Graham Calder was on hand at the event to accept the 'On the Radar' award on behalf of our myCloud team, who have worked tremendously hard over the last two years to build and introduce myCloud to more than 35,000 of our people in over 1,000 locations.
The myCloud team was recognised in Ovum’s ‘Infrastructure Transformation’ category for achieving a world-first for a company of Pearson’s size: a completely integrated suite of email, calendar and collaboration tools available from any device, anywhere in the world, and using a choice of Google or Microsoft platforms.
But judges were particularly impressed by our ‘mobile first’ approach – by allowing employees to bring in and use their personal devices for work and building the office connectivity to support them, the myCloud team has created a much more powerful and flexible work environment.
myCloud programme director Marie Ingledew said: “We are proud and delighted to get such recognition from outside of Pearson by winning this award. I think it showcases the talent we have in the myCloud team and I look forward to seeing the next evolution of myCloud now its so wonderfully established.”
